Carole King is a practising local artist and educator who intially trained in Sydney and moved to Queensland in 1995. She has exhibited and taught extensively both locally and interstate and this is her first solo exhibition at Gold Coast City Gallery.

King has developed a stong affiinity for the natural landscape of this region and her new series of work In Conversation with Mangroves hopes to enhance the recognition of mangroves as integral to the health of our local waterways and promote the protection of their habitat. She uses collage and acrylic paint to create both naturalistic views as well as more abstract visions. Works are for sale.
