Gold Coast Quilters Guild Exhibition

Quilting appeals to all ages, from young mothers with babes in arms to ladies in their 80s, and examples of their work will be on display at Gold Coast City Art Gallery. 

 

Quilts carry stories about our history and encompass memories and identity through an unspoken language. Each stitch and choice of material can provide a rich insight into the lives of the people who have laboured to made them.

 

A variety of quilts and wall hangings will be on display showing a wide range of both traditional and contemporary techniques. Most of the works are originals or an interpretation of existing patterns.
