In this public workshop and demonstration, Anita Tan will share her knowledge of Chinese literature and the art of Chinese calligraphy. Anita can assist participants to write their own name in Mandarin and take it home with them. This is a unique opportunity to practise this ancient form of writing under the guidance of a talented tutor. All welcome.
Anita studied graphic design at the Taipei Municipal Shilin School of Commerce. She has worked as a graphics designer for various advertising companies and property developers in Taiwan.
Anita Tan was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and emigrated to Australia in 1991. As well as being fluent in Mandarin and Hokkien, Anita has broad knowledge of Chinese literature. She also enjoys practising Chinese calligraphy in her spare time.
