21st Century Beginnings- The Corrigan Collection of Aboriginal Art

The lands of the central deserts, Kimberley and Top End are home to some of the greatest artists practicing in Australia today. A narrative of land, culture and colour will fill the gallery space when highlights from the Corrigan collection of 21st century Aboriginal art are on display. In addition to his role as Chairman of the Gold Coast City Gallery, Patrick Corrigan AM is an avid collector and arts benefactor. With the retrospective distance of 11 years at the most, his determined collecting highlights the aptitude and celebrates the sophistication of these modern masters, including Paddy Bedford, Sally Gabori, Eubena Nampitjin, Makinti Napanangka, Minnie Pwerle, George Tjungurrayi, Tommy Watson, Regina Wilson and many more.
