Photography is the medium of our age – everyone has a camera now and if you are in a public place a camera is most certainly watching you. This annual exhibition of the best work by over 55 selected Australian artists working in photo media is a must see exhibition for any student interested in photography and media.

2012 JUDGE – Kon Gouriotis OAM
Director, Australian Centre for Photography
Kon Gouriotis was appointed Director of the Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) in late 2011. He brings 21 years of professional sector experience in contemporary visual arts and culture. His achievements include national touring exhibitions, the capital redevelopment and rebranding of the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, and excellence in community engagement.
Kon comes to the ACP from his most recent position as the Director, Visual Arts, Australia Council for the Arts. He has made a significant and ongoing contribution to the development of the Australian visual arts and has raised the profile and experience of visual arts in Australia and overseas. Kon has an exceptional overview of photography based on his collaboration with contemporary photographers, directors, designers and writers, as Director of the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre (1998-2008) and the Visual Arts Board. He is passionate about contemporary photography and his significant role in its future in Australia.
